About the Uniformity Pro 640
Why we love this light:
The FGI Uniformity Pro was designed with one thing in mind: healthy, happy, high-yielding, high potency plants. We built the UP in partnership with experienced growers including Northwest Cannabis Solutions, one of the largest commercial farms in Washington. The design phase included multiple LED builds. Together we harvested over a half dozen plant cycles before we settled on what you see today.
Technical overview:
The Uniformity Pro 640 is 47" x 47" and fits neatly in 4' x 4' commercial warehouse racks. It's equally at home over trays and bench layouts, and fits perfectly in a 4 x 4 grow tent.
The UP is our premier flower light. It's built like a tank. It weighs 37 lbs for a reason. It's 5% larger than the Gavita 1700e and Fluence Spydr 2 series. It is fully water and dust resistant. All wiring connections are sealed with IP68 waterproof connections. The LED diodes are covered with gorilla glass like crystal lens coverings. Lets face it; grow rooms are hard on equipment. The Uniformity Pro can handle it.
The bars are heavy duty extruded aluminium. They release heat passively with no need for fans. It uses 8 bars instead of 6 because light uniformity on canopy is critical for penetration into the lower levels. With this level of penetration we can increase the size of interior flowers. Fewer larfy flowers mean less waste in the trim bin. This is the reason the UP creates higher yields. It can create more usable A grade flower not just on the top canopy but as far in as 24" when defoliation is done correctly.
At full intensity its ideal for flowering. 1600 umols/s total PPF output. Nearly 1300 umols/ms of usable photosynthetic light output at 9-12". Fully dimmed it is excellent for seedling or young clones. Just 190 umols/ms of PAR at 12-24". Covers an entire 5 x 5 in veg.
Our LED diode mix creates the ideal grow spectrum for indoor plants. 3200 full spectrum Samsung LM301B neutral white diodes in 4000K CCT. We chose 4000K diodes because of the large bump in blue energy that you don't find in 3000K LEDs. the 4000K chips also produce desirable green, yellow and orange wavelengths, all which have been proven to be important to photosynthesis and plant morphology. The white diodes are paired with 48 Osram Osolon Hyper Red Square 660nm diodes, from Osram's horticulture optimized LED diode line.
And we didn't stop with just building a heavy duty commercial grade grow light. Each UP comes with a 10' power cord. It also comes with a 4' UP to UP connection cable allowing you to control a network of lights with various lighting controllers. Our FGI Dimming Controller is one example and allows advanced programming including on/off timers, sunrise and sunset programming and automatically dims the light if temperatures in the grow space exceed your programmed limit. We can also connect to Trolmaster and most other 0-10V dimmers.
The UP carries a full five year warranty. Gavita and Fluence only offer 3 years standard. We know our light will operate reliably for years. Apparently the competition isn't as confident in theirs lasting as long.
